I grew up in the town of Lafayette, California. I graduated from the University of California-Berkeley with a high school teaching credential, and a Bachelor of Arts in English, with minors in Psychology and Physical Education. I graduated from Empire College School of Law in 1986. For the next 12 years, I worked in Novato for a law firm where I eventually became a partner. I worked in family law, bankruptcy and construction litigation. On August 1, 2001, I opened my own office in Santa Rosa solely practicing family law. Several years later I became a Certified Family Law Specialist. I handle litigation, mediation and collaboration, and I had my first collaborative case while in Novato. When I represent a client, I try to keep the best interests of the entire family, especially the children, in mind while also considering my client's best interests. I work hard to assist clients in reaching out-of-court settlements and will continue down that path.
